In November 2023, the area in front of Nankai Namba Station was transformed into a people-centric symbolic plaza. It is a new tourist spot where you can relax and take commemorative photos.
From car roads to human plazas
The station forecourt, once busy with traffic, has been transformed into a cozy space of about 6,000 square meters equipped with benches and lighting. In addition to the original camphor trees, cherry and zelkova trees have been planted, allowing visitors to feel the changing of the seasons.
For meetings, for events
It is also used as an event space, hosting various activities depending on the day. Convenient as a meeting spot at the gateway to Minami, it aims to become a new sightseeing hub in Osaka.
