The view from Ebisubashi Bridge is the prettiest.
When evening falls and the neon lights turn on, the light reflects off the surface of the Dotonbori River, showing a different side than during the day. The bridge is always bustling with people taking pictures and meeting up, enveloped in the lively atmosphere characteristic of Minami.
The first generation was in 1935, and it is currently the 6th generation.
The original sign was erected in 1935. The current sign, completed in 2014, is the sixth generation and is a giant LED sign approximately 20 meters high and 10 meters wide. It is lit from after sunset until midnight (hours may be shortened depending on circumstances). Be sure to view it from the bridge as a great way to cap off a nighttime stroll through Dotonbori.
