On the 11th, the Yoimiya Festival will be held starting at 9:30 AM. The taiko drums, portable shrines, and lion dances, which are said to have been dedicated by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, will parade from Hachiken-yahama to various locations on the Uemachi plateau, including Teramachi, and will enter the main shrine in the evening.
12th: The Honmiya Festival will be held from 9:30 AM, with a procession (Tokyo = procession) to its original resting place, "Osaka Castle." A 6-person mobile Makura Daiko will lead 500 people and horses, departing at 10:00 AM. They will arrive at the former site of Ikutamajinja Shrine within Osaka Castle grounds at noon, and after passing through the Otabisho at Honmachibashi in Chuo Ward, will return to the main shrine at 5:00 PM to enter the palace.

Namba Grand Shrine, Ikukunitama Shrine, Ikukunitama Festival
The precursor to Osaka's three major summer festivals, which include Sayama, Tenma, and Sumiyoshi. The procession to Osaka Castle, the former sacred precinct, saw a grand parade of 2,000 people traverse the city center from the Meiji to early Showa periods (pre-war). While many sacred treasures for the festival were lost in the Great Osaka Air Raid, they were restored in 2014, 70 years later. The festival, which captivates the people of Naniwa, draws 200,000 visitors to the shrine grounds alone.
